Sherin is an assistant Professor at Dar Al Hekma University, where she has joined the architectural department since Jan 2013. Her academic career has spanned over the past 13 years, where she has collaborated and worked with different universities in Egypt, UK, US, and KSA. Her teaching usually integrates live-projects, in order to cross the gap between theory and practise. Sherin has also been practicing architecture and interior design for more than 10 years and have been involved in different projects worldwide. Her work and research usually advocates utilizing passive technologies, and alternating building’s attitude in order to deliver context appropriate sustainable designs. Sherin Holds a PhD in sustainable architecture, from Cairo University, an MPhil in sustainable development from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in technology of construction from Cairo University, and a professional certificate in interior design from the KLC school of design in London.
