Eligible Entrants: Project Owners, Engineering and Architecture Firms, Developers, Main Contractors, Project Management Companies and Construction Consultants. Product and Service Providers are able to submit entries for the ‘Innovation of the Year’ category.

 

Female Construction Leader of the Year

The judges will be looking for a stand-out female that has displayed significant knowledge, confidence and expertise in overcoming the real and apparent obstacles of working within the male-dominated construction industry.  Judges will be looking for an individual who has broken down barriers to forge a successful career within this competitive industry, pioneering the way and inspiring future generations of women working in construction.

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Be employed by the company nominating them
  • Be in a construction role, and
  • Be nominated by their employer

 

Male Construction Leader of the Year

The judges will be looking for a stand-out male that has displayed significant knowledge and confidence in their role. Young Female Construction Professional of the Year (under 35)

This award will go to a dynamic young female, under 35, who represents the very best of the construction profession. She should be a high achiever, a problem solver and a team player and just as importantly be an inspiration to both her male and female colleagues motivating them to follow in her footsteps.

  • Be in a construction role, and
  • Be nominated by their employer

Sustainability Champion of the Year

This award is open to professionals (in-house) who may or may not have sustainability as part of their formal job description. The award will honour an individual who can show commitment, innovation and measurable impact for sustainability in their organisation.

 

Sustainable Initiative of the Year

The Sustainable Initiative of the Year award will go to the single initiative demonstrating successful implementation, showing clear measurements of success, collaboration and outcomes – including Environmental, Social and Governance ESG principles – in its work.  Evidence should focus on the period, January 2019 – April 2021.

 

Youth Engagement Initiative of the Year

This award honours an organisation which has implemented an initiative to educate students about the opportunities of a career in the construction industry, promoting the advancement of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).  The initiative could be a partnership with an academic institution, an event, workshop, hackathon, internship or outreach programme.

This category is open to any ongoing initiative implemented in Saudi Arabia in the period January 2019 – April 2021.

 

Innovation of the Year

This award will recognise innovative construction projects, products and solutions in Saudi Arabia that lead, change, transform and improve the construction process in a positive way. The winning entry must demonstrate measurements of success and team collaboration. The innovation could be a new process, technology, or creative idea which has been implemented from January 2019 – April 2021. Entries should focus on at least one example of specific innovation.

 

Construction SME of the Year

This award will recognise the outstanding small to medium sized business of the year for evidence of a clear growth plan, demonstrating best practice in construction and organisationsal management, investment in developing its people, how the business is driving its vision and mission, innovation for the wider industry and best practice in client engagement and supply chain management.

 

Award for Inclusion & Diversity Initiative

This award recognises an organisation which has developed a diverse and inclusive workplace through initiatives, programmes, policies and practices which have directly enhanced the success and culture of the organisation.

 

Sustainable Project of the Future

This award will be given to the organisation or project teams (cross-company joint entries will be accepted) responsible for planning an innovative construction project with sustainable benefits to the community. The entry must demonstrate that they have gone over and above standards for the built environment and are planning to embed Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into the project.

 

Digitalisation Project of the Year

This award is open to a specific client digitalisation project. Entrants must demonstrate client and cross-team collaboration, how people were at the heart of the project, project objectives, results, successful use of data and reporting and how any challenges were overcome. The entry must give evidence on how digitalisation improved the construction project processes and operating model.

 

Best Use of Technology of the Year

The Best Use of Technology award is open to organisations (non-technology providers) who can show how they have used technology to improve processes and efficiency, while engaging teams and/or clients in technology. Organisations should provide evidence of how the business case for the technology was developed, data driven decision making, specific innovations, improvements in business and/or project performance, competitive advantage, benefits and any potential to disrupt the wider industry.

 

Sustainable Construction Organisation of the Year

This award will be given to an organisation demonstrating how it has embedded sustainability – including Environmental, Social and Governance ESG principles – into its business strategy. Examples may include success stories of employee and stakeholder engagement, competitor advantage, support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and include evidence of quantifiable environmental impact, support for climate change mitigation, low- and zero-carbon initiatives and positive social impact. Evidence should focus on the period January 2019 – April 2021.

 

Innovative Construction Organisation of the Year

This award will be given to an organisation demonstrating how it has embedded innovation into its business strategy. Examples may include success stories of employee and stakeholder engagement, competitor advantage and include evidence of quantifiable impact on the business and client projects.  Evidence should focus on the period January 2019 – April 2021.

 

Partnership of the Year

The Partnership of the Year award will recognise partnerships between project owners and project teams which demonstrate a collaborative management approach. Entries should deliver clear evidence of alignment of objectives, common culture, team integration, overcoming challenges together, knowledge transfer and wow-factor successes as a team.

Allocate time to write your
entry forms
Give yourself a few weeks prior to the deadline of 8 April 2021 share the task with colleagues so no rush is involved when drafting your responses.
